A portion of West Bridge Street was shut down in Phoenixville on Tuesday night.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- A portion of West Bridge Street was shut down in Phoenixville on Tuesday night when a wastewater pipe collapsed, police said.

The incident occurred sometime around 7 p.m.

The closure is in effect on West Bridge between Nutt Road and Pennsylvania Avenue, according to police.
