'Welcome To Phoenixville' Mural Turning Heads As It Takes Shape

Local artist Teresa Haag is working on the project on the the wall of a local restaurant.

A new mural is coming to Phoenixville.

Local artist Teresa Haag is working on the project on the the wall of Marly’s Restaurant near Starr and Bridge Streets.

She estimates that it will be complete in about six or eight weeks.

The image above, a representation of what the mural will look like when complete, is part in black and white and part in color. It shows Phoenixville’s industrial beginnings and the banks of the Schuylkill River, and blends in with the surrounding vegetation and street.

Haag says on her website that she “tells stories through cityscapes.”
