Just like that, another weekend is upon us! If catching some GREAT music performed outdoors is on your to-do list, we have three options submitted for your consideration...

It all kicks off at 7:00 PM on Friday in King of Prussia with their Concerts Under the Stars series where the always-incredible Joan Osborne will be performing the music of Bob Dylan!

Since she broke through 25 years ago with the multi-platinum Relish and its touchstone mega-smash “One of Us,” the seven-time Grammy nominee has never played it safe. Osborne has followed her restless musical heart, exploring a diverse range of genres: pop rock, soul, R&B, blues, roots rock, gospel, funk, and country – all of which can be heard on Trouble and Strife, along with the Western side of C&W and a touch of glam and disco. “For a lot of the record, we were going for a ‘70s AM radio vibe,” Osborne said recently. As for the lyrics, the songs “are the most political I’ve ever written,” she conveys of her first album of originals since 2014’s confessional Love and Hate. Osborne also produced Trouble and Strife, primarily recorded in her basement studio in Brooklyn and released on the label she founded in 1991, Womanly Hips.

This time around, she's tackling the immense catalog of His Bob-ness... Not a task to undertake lightly, but the reviews for these performances have been outstanding to date, making this one of the must-see performances of the summer!

Far from 'playing the hits' - Osborne has delved deep into the BD vault and included such less-often-heard gems like "Shooting Star," "Love Sick," "She Belongs to Me," "Man in the Long Black Coat," and our personal favorite "Buckets of Rain."

But, along with these great songs from Mr. Zimmerman, don't be surprised if a couple of her classics like "Right Hand Man," "St. Teresa," & "One of Us" find their way into her setlist...

At 7:00 PM on Saturday in King of Prussia, we will be treated to music from Watchhouse...

Starting over a decade ago playing coffee shops and local restaurants around North Carolina, Watchhouse is a grassroots success story that’s been driven by Andrew Marlin’s poignant songwriting. With sold-out shows at legendary venues like Red Rocks and the Ryman Auditorium, and hundreds of millions of streams, they’ve earned a reputation for creating music that the Washington Post said “redefines roots music for a younger generation.” The duo of Marlin and Emily Frantz - now with a family of their own - are two singers and musicians with profound chemistry, performing earnest yet masterfully crafted songs that encompass the unknowable mysteries, existential heartbreak, and communal joys of modern life.

Their latest album called Rituals, on Tiptoe Tiger Music / Thirty Tigers is a collection that marks the pair’s first release of all new, original songs since their 2021 self-titled album, which earned praise from Rolling Stone who said it contained “pristine acoustic picking that collides with hazy, dream-like psychedelia,” along with accolades from Mojo, NPR Music, American Songwriter and more.

Opening that show will be the talented Clover-Lynn... Pulled from the dense clay underneath Cahas mountain in Southwestern Virginia, Clover-Lynn dresses the sounds of her mountains upbringing with the veil of the Gothic. Blending 3 Finger, Clawhammer, and ballad singing she creates a unique sound that is both unsettling and familiar.

Also on Saturday night at 7:00 PM, another legend, Steve Forbert will take the gazebo stage at Bryn Mawr's Twilight Concert Series...

Forbert cut his musical teeth just down the road from this venue at the legendary Main Point back in the 1970s & years before Americana music earned its own category at the Grammy Awards, he helped pioneer the genre's mix of folk, roots-rock, and richly delivered storytelling.

He's been a torchbearer of that sound for more than four decades since, navigating the twists and turns of an acclaimed career that's taken him from gold records to Grammy nominations, from Bryn Mawr's Main Point to New York City's CBGB to Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, from his 1978 debut album to 2022's vital and versatile Moving Through America.

Forbert fills his performances with songs that are every bit as spirited as "Romeo's Tune," his Top 20 hit from 1979's gold-certified Jackrabbit Slim. His latest chapter is a story that is still unfolding, with him serving as an elder statesman of Americana music while continuing to create music that's spry and steadfast. He will be appearing with Mark Schultz & the Wayne Rangers... His music in this intimate space? A no-brainer!
