Suspect Sought In Phoenixville Stabbing Incident
An investigation is underway after a woman was stabbed repeatedly in a church parking lot in Phoenixville on Wednesday night, police said.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A woman was stabbed repeatedly in a church parking lot in Phoenixville on Wednesday night, police said. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, near the intersection of Main and Morgan streets.
The victim, a 36-year-old woman from Philadelphia, was stabbed while inside her vehicle that was parked at the church, authorities said.
It is not yet clear what led to the incident.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Paoli Hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery. She had stab wounds to her torso and extremities, police said. Her condition is not known at this time.
No arrests have been made, but authorities said they have identified a person of interest in the case.

The knife that was used to stab the woman was found by police at the scene.
The name of the victim is being withheld by authorities at this time.
Phoenixville Police were assisted at the scene by Chester County Detectives.
