Work To Replace Schuylkill Twp's White Horse Road Bridge Delayed
Recent weather has delayed the construction of a new bridge on White Horse Road over a tributary of Pickering Creek.

SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP, PA — Recent weather has delayed the construction of a new bridge on White Horse Road over a tributary of Pickering Creek, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said on Tuesday.
The structurally deficient bridge is not the main bridge over the main branch of the Pickering, but rather a much smaller, barely noticeable bridge, dating to 1927, that sits between Valley Park Road and Loramar Lane.
Work had been scheduled to begin on Jan. 17, but has not been delayed to Jan. 29. Work is still expected to be completed at some point in April, PennDOT said.

The detour will include a route over Pothouse Road and Route 29.
The new bridge will be 13 feet long and 24 feet wide.
