Your Guide To Phoenixville's Blobfest

The infamous Blobfest is July 8-10 in Phoenixville.

Phoenixville, PA -- The Phoenixville Blobfest, commemorating the classic 1958 movie ”The Blob” that was filmed at the Colonial Theatre and throughout Phoenixville, is scheduled for this upcoming weekend.

Events will kick off on Friday night, July 8, with the notorious “Run Out” event at the Colonial Theatre.

The series of stage shows, guest performances, live music, and special guests will filmed and is already sold out.

On Saturday, July 9, the main event is the Streetfair, a free day of live music, special guests Mr. Lobo, Dixie Dellamorto, Dash Daring, and musical guests Dibbs Preston & the Detonators.

A costume contest a 1 p.m., food, and vendors will ’continue all day until 6 p.m.

A "Patient Creatures Storytelling" event will take place at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Steel City Cafe.

Lee Wanner and the original fire truck from The Blob will also be on hand.

Saturday films will include a double feature showing of “The Blob and This Island Earth" along with "The Blob and Queen of Blood."

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and $6 for children 13 and under.

Doors will open about 30 minutes before showtime.

On Sunday doors will open at 1:30 p.m.:

  • 2:00 – "The Blob"
  • 3:30 – "The Late Night Double Feature"
  • 5:00 – Q&A with director Christopher R. Mihm

Ticket prices are the same for each event.
