Christina Aguilera Sings National Anthem at Super Bowl

The former Wexford resident belts out "The Star Spangled Banner."

Christina Aguilera -- the hometown girl from Wexford who used to sing the national anthem before Steelers, Pirates and Penguins games -- sang it again before Sunday's Super Bowl game.

The singer-songwriter sang "The Star Spangled Banner" as part of the festivities before the start of Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas.

“I have been performing the anthem since I was 7 years old, and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true,” Aguilera said in a news release. “I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event.”
