The 3rd. annual Team Alex Fund 5K/ 5 Mile Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, April 28 at 9:00 AM and benefits children with spinal cord illness or injury. Six year old Alex Brown, the fund's namesake, is the son of Eric Brown, a teacher at Pine Richland Middle School. The event, coordinated by Pine Richland High School Senior, Brian McWilliams, is expected to draw over 500 participants this year. Join Team Alex for a competitive 5K or 5 Mile run or a casual stroll at North Park. Post race festivities include food and drinks, an awards ceremony, a huge Chinese auction, activities for kids, and Pittsburgh mascot appearances. Also join us for a donations only spaghetti dinner the night before the race, Friday, April 27 at St. Ferdinand's Parish on Rochester Road in Cranberry Twp. The dinner is sponsored by Pine Richland National Honor Society and will take place from 5-8 PM. All are welcome to join us for one or both events!
