The 3rd. annual Team Alex Fund 5K/ 5 Mile Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, April 28 at 9:00 AM and benefits children with spinal cord illness or injury. Six year old Alex Brown, the fund's namesake, is the son of Eric Brown, a teacher at Pine Richland Middle School. The event, coordinated by Pine Richland High School Senior, Brian McWilliams, is expected to draw over 500 participants this year. Join Team Alex for a competitive 5K or 5 Mile run or a casual stroll at North Park. Post race festivities include food and drinks, an awards ceremony, a huge Chinese auction, activities for kids, and Pittsburgh mascot appearances. Also join us for a donations only spaghetti dinner the night before the race, Friday, April 27 at St. Ferdinand's Parish on Rochester Road in Cranberry Twp.
