Mortimer is a drama critic that has too much drama in his life. His two aunts have a nasty little habit of poisoning older gentleman and burying them in the cellar. His uncle thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and his brother is a homicidal maniac. Add to the confusion a girlfriend who is growing very impatient about getting married and a policeman who desperately wants to write. Adapted into a Frank Capra movie that made Cary Grant a star.
