Reports of Jackie Evancho and Tony Bennett in Concert Together are False, Agent Says

A concert featuring Jackie Evancho and Tony Bennett might be a dream come true for their fans, but reports are false about the two performing together in September at a California venue, according to Jackie's agent.

Agent Marc Johnston said the news is "inaccurate and false."

"There have been discussions about them doing a concert together, but it's not confirmed. There is no availability and the date that they were looking at, Tony wasn't unavailable," said Johnston.

Jackie and Tony performed "When You Wish Upon A Star" for Bennett's Duets II (Limited Edition) album. She performed the song solo on her Dream With Me CD.

Jackie also appeared in a commercial with other stars to sing "Happy Birthday" for Tony's 85th birthday.

The Pinetree.net reported Thursday that Ironstone Amphitheatre in California announced the concert would be part of its 2012 concert season.

Ironstone Amphitheatre is part of Ironstone Vineyards and Winery in the Sierra Foothills of Murphys, CA.
