'Slap Shot' Stars, Local Celebrities Hit the Ice in Charity Game

Money raised benefits Pittsburgh Emergency Medical Foundation.

The Hanson Brothers, stars of the classic hockey movie "Slap Shot," were in town this weekend to play in a Pucks and Sticks Charity Hockey Game.

KDKA Radio's Larry Richert of Pine Township was among the celebrities Saturday who hit the ice at Island Sports Center to raise money for the  Pittsburgh Emergency Medical Foundation.

The Hanson Brothers are real-life brothers Jeff and Steve Carlson and , who now serves as director of the sports center.

The Hanson Brothers joined the Emergency Medicine Services All Stars in a battle against the Pittsburgh Celebrity Hockey Team. The celebrities included radio and TV personalities, elected officials, and sports figures.
