Allegheny County Coronavirus Case Numbers Rose Over Weekend
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers in Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Monday reported six new coronavirus deaths. The total since the outbreak began is 1,269.
There were 620 new and confirmed probable coronavirus cases. over the weekend. The total number number during the outbreak is now 67,429.
The 493 confirmed cases came from 2,799 tests - a positivity rate of 17 percent.

There have been 3,951 hospitalizations during the outbreak.
With 23,962 cases in Westmoreland County, 12,195 in Butler County, 11,945 in Washington County and 10,578 in Beaver County, that brings the total number of cases to 126,109 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 2,645 deaths in the region from the virus: One thousand, two hundred and sixty-nine in Allegheny County, 565 in Westmoreland County, 308 in Butler County, 306 in Beaver County and 197 in Washington County.
