Allegheny County Coronavirus Case Numbers Still Staggering

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Thursday reported one new coronavirus death. The county death toll now stands at 465.

The county reported 609 new cases, down only 11 from the record-setting 620 reported Wednesday. There have been 22,043 cases since the outbreak began in March.

There have been 1,724 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 6,649 cases in Westmoreland County, 3,340 in Washington County, 3,218 in Butler County and 3,012 in Beaver County, that brings the total number of cased to 38,252 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 852 deaths in the region from the virus: Four hundred and sixty-five in Allegheny County, 144 in Beaver County, 143 in Westmoreland County, 53 in Washington County and 48 in Butler County.
