Allegheny County Coronavirus Surge Continues

Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Tuesday reported four new deaths. The county death toll now stands at 486.

The county reported 541 new cases. There have been 24,624 cases since the outbreak began in March.

There have been 1,870 hospitalizations in the county during the outbreak.

With 7,646 cases in Westmoreland County, 3,886 in Washington County, 3,681 in Butler County and 3,366 in Beaver County, that brings the total number of cased to 41,893 when Allegheny County numbers are included

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 922 deaths in the region from the virus: Four hundred and eighty-six in Allegheny County, 167 in Westmoreland County, 149 in Beaver County, 63 in Washington County and 57 in Butler County.
