Allegheny County Reports Dozens Of New Coronavirus Deaths
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Wednesday reported 46 new coronavirus deaths, pushing the total since the outbreak began last March to 1,957 - up from 1,011 on Tuesday.
The county on Wednesday reported 881 confirmed and probable new coronavirus cases. There have been 57,708 cases since the outbreak began, up from 56,827 on Tuesday.
The 524 confirmed cases came from 1,830 new tests - a positivity rate of 28 percent. For comparison purposes, the latest positivity rate for tests across Pennsylvania is 15.8 percent, state officials said.

There have been 3,299 hospitalizations during the outbreak.
With 20,393 cases in Westmoreland County, 9,997 in Butler County, 9,567 in Washington County and 8,902 in Beaver County, that brings the total number of cases to 106,567 when Allegheny County numbers are included. That's up from 105,117 from Tuesday.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 2,104 deaths in the region from the virus: One thousand and fifty-seven in Allegheny County, 443 in Westmoreland County, 262 in Beaver County, 206 in Butler County and 138 in Washington County. That's an increase from 2,048 from Tuesday.
