Allegheny County Reports Nearly 300 New Coronavirus Cases
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Tuesday reported one new coronavirus death. The total since the outbreak began is 1,270.
There were 282 new and confirmed probable coronavirus cases. The total number number during the outbreak is now 67,771.
The 282 confirmed cases came from 1,270 tests - a positivity rate of 22 percent.

There have been 4,044 hospitalizations during the outbreak.
With 24,175 cases in Westmoreland County, 12,327 in Butler County, 12,090 in Washington County and 10,649 in Beaver County, that brings the total number of cases to 126,109 when Allegheny County numbers are included.

According to the state Department of Health, there have been 2,661 deaths in the region from the virus: One thousand, two hundred and seventy in Allegheny County, 571 in Westmoreland County, 311 in Butler County, 310 in Beaver County and 199 in Washington County.
