PITTSBURGH, PA — The city set a record Thursday for the number of attendees for the first round of the NFL Draft.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Pittsburgh broke the all-time round one attendance record with 320,000 fans, topping the 275,000+ who attended in Detroit in 2024.
The city and the NFL initially estimated as many as 600,000 people in total would attend the draft, which continues today and Saturday outside of Acrisure Stadium and at Point State Park.
The number of people attending might be lowered because of the weather. According to the National Weather Service, there is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms today and an 80 percent chance of showers on Saturday, the draft's final day.
The second and third rounds of the draft will occur today beginning at 7 p.m. Coverage is available on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network.
