PITTSBURGH, PA — The restaurant owners say they are offering a "fresh take on neighborhood hospitality."
The Eastman has opened on East Ohio Street on the North Side.
The Eastman is led by husband-and-wife team and neighborhood residents Michael Schmidt and Jess Frandsen.
With chef Chris Acosta of Taqueria Acosta leading the kitchen, the team creates an experience that the restaurant claims "is both welcoming and refined, grounded in the neighborhood and driven by quality."
Blending New Mexican flavors from Taqueria Acosta favorites with Buffalo comfort food.
The menu includes appetizers such as wings, pizza logs, chips and dip and ranchero fries.
Entrees include a quarter roasted chicken, carne asada, tun atun and a marinated half-head of cauliflower.
