PITTSBURGH, PA — When you think of baseball team promotional bobble heads, you think of current or former players.
Not a character from a TV show .
The Pirates in July won't be distributing Paul Skenes or Konnor Griffin bobble heads. Instead, the Bucs will be giving away bobble heads of Dr. Robby, the main physician of "The Pitt," the hit medical drama on HBO Max.
The Emmy-award series is based in Pittsburgh and details the daily drama in a city emergency room. It stars Noah Wylie as Dr. Robby.
According to IMBD, the series involves "the daily lives of health care professionals in a Pittsburgh hospital as they juggle personal crises, workplace politics, and the emotional toll of treating critically ill patients."
The giveaway will occur July 25 at a 6:40 p.m. game against the Chicago Cubs.
It's part of the Bucs' annual Yinzerpalooza Weekend, which is resented by Mrs. T’s Pierogies and celebrate all things Pittsburgh.
On July 24, the first 20,000 fans will snag a Yinzerpalooza T-shirt. On July 26, all kids will take home a plush version of Daniel Tiger of "Mister Rogers Neighborhood" fame.
