PITTSBURGH, PA — A man died Thursday after a crash involving a dump truck and a pickup truck in Sharpsburg.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of South 18th and Main streets.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office later identified him as Zygmunt Olszewski, 76, of Sharpsburg.
According to Allegheny County Police, preliminary information indicates that Olszewski - who was driving the pickup truck - suffered a medical emergency and went through the intersection striking a telephone pole.
His vehicle then was struck by the dump truck.
