PITTSBURGH, PA — It's fawn season, and Pittsburgh Public Safety officials have said they have received man calls recently from people concerned the animal have been abandoned.
That's not necessarily true - and trying to help one potentially could endanger the fawn and you.
City animal control officials advise leaving fawns alone. Intervention will only hurt a fawn's chances of survival. Animal officials sat to nver touch, feed, or move a fawn unless it is next to an injured or dead doe.
