PITTSBURGH, PA — Regional Development Partners, owned by one of Western Pennsylvania’s longstanding commercial real estate professionals, on Tuesday announced that it will transition its name to Legacy Development Partners.
The company is owned by Herky Pollock, a nationally recognized commercial real estate executive, developer, and hospitality entrepreneur.
The transition to Legacy Development Partners follows the recent formation and expansion of Legacy Realty Partners, where Pollock serves as president and CEO, and Legacy Hospitality Partners, where he also serves as CEO. The companies represent a unified family of brands focused on commercial real estate, hospitality, experiential entertainment, development, and long-term ownership.
“Legacy Development Partners better reflects who we are today and where we are headed,” said Pollock. “Over the last several years, our businesses have evolved into a fully integrated platform spanning development, brokerage, hospitality, entertainment, and experiential placemaking."
Legacy Development Partners owns and operates several prominent commercial and mixed use assets across Western Pennsylvania, including:
● Streets of Cranberry
● Blue Spruce Shoppes
● Beesontown Shoppes
● Shoppes at McKnight Siebert
● Pittsburgh Mills Shoppes
In recent years, Pollock has expanded aggressively into hospitality and experiential entertainment through Legacy Hospitality and affiliated operating platforms. Those ventures include leadership and ownership interests in several prominent Pittsburgh hospitality and entertainment concepts, including:
● Ritual House
● Palm Palm
● Shorty’s Pins x Pints
● Shorty’s Tap x Taco
● Burgatory
● The Common Good
● SugarBird
● The Plaza at North Shore
The Plaza at North Shore represents one of the company’s most ambitious experiential entertainment initiatives to date, designed as a large-scale activation and gathering space integrating live entertainment, sports viewing experiences, concerts, festivals, hospitality programming, and community events adjacent to Pittsburgh’s stadium district.
The company stated that Legacy Development Partners will serve as the principal development and ownership arm within the broader Legacy platform, focusing on mixed-use development, retail destinations, hospitality-driven environments, adaptive reuse projects, entertainment districts, and experiential placemaking initiatives.
“As Pittsburgh continues to evolve, we believe the future belongs to projects that successfully blend real estate, hospitality, entertainment, and community activation,” Pollock said.
"Our goal is to create experiences and leave an indelible impression, we strive daily to accomplish this! “Legacy Development Partners is being built to lead that next generation of development.”
