McAtee, 69, died of cancer, which he battled for several years.

Before joining Audacy, McAtee was known for his traffic reports at Metro Traffic and iHeart Radio Pittsburgh radio stations that include 3WS, WDVE-FM and 96.1 KISS.

"No matter AM or FM frequency, you probably heard the voice of Greg McAtee somewhere along the radio dial in your lifetime in Pittsburgh," former 3WS announcer Theresa Colazzi said in a tribute on social media.

"The airwaves are going to be less dynamic. He was a good man who always kept God and his family first."

Funeral arrangements were not immediately available.
