PITTSBURGH, PA — A man who allegedly stabbed his father to death and then fled the area has been taken into custody, Allegheny County police announced on Monday.
Kabir Buhari, 42, was found in a hotel in Bethesda, Maryland. He was taken into custody by the Montgomery County Police Department - in conjunction with the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force - and is in custody pending extradition to Allegheny County.
At 4:01 p.m. on Saturday, county 911 was notified of a stabbing in Jefferson Hills.
When police arrived at the Arnoni Drive residence, the found Alhaji Buhari, 69, dead from multiple stab wounds.
Through witness interviews and evidence at the scene, Kabir Buhari was identified as the suspect.
He has been charged with criminal homicide.
It's currently unclear what prompted the fatal incident.
