PITTSBURGH, PA As the summer driving season kicks into full swing, Giant Eagle and GetGo have announced a new limited-time perks promotion to help people save at the pumps.

Five times the perks on a $100 transaction made at Giant Eagle or Market District this weekend will equate to 50 cents off per gallon of fuel on a future fill-up at GetGo. There is no limit to the reward customers can earn through this promotion, giving customers the opportunity to earn a free tank of fuel.

Here are the steps to take advantage of the promotion:

1. Activate the promotion. Visit GiantEagle.com or the Giant Eagle mobile app to activate the promotion. The offer is now available for activation.

2. Shop Giant Eagle or Market District this weekend. The five-times perks multiplier will trigger when a qualifying transaction of at least $100 is successfully completed using the associated myPerks loyalty card on Saturday, June 27, or Sunday, June 28, at any Giant Eagle or Market District location throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, and Indiana.

3. Redeem the perks. Perks rewards will be available for redemption immediately after the qualifying supermarket transaction is complete. Customers may choose to redeem their earned perks reward either for a discount on fuel purchased at any GetGo location or for a discount on a future trip to Giant Eagle or Market District.

The five-times-perks discount is limited to one redemption per household. Customers can visit GiantEagle.com for more information.
