PITTSBURGH, PA — A man is in custody following a fatal shooting Thursday evening in the city's Sheraden neighborhood.
The incident occurred in a vehicle at the intersection of Chartiers Avenue and Municipal Street.
After responding to a 2-round ShotSpotter alert at 9:12 p.m., arriving units located an adult male with a gunshot wound to the head. Officers rendered aid until medics arrived. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
After investigating the incident, Pittsburgh Police homicide detectives made an arrest in the case.
Joel Ingram, 41, of Pittsburgh was taken into custody overnight and faces charges of criminal homicide and carrying a firearm Without a License.
Ingram is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has yet to release the victim's identity.
