BELLEVUE, PA — A man was arrested on stalking and other charges Monday after allegedly following a woman home from a nearby bar.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, Bellevue police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Hallett Place. The female victim who called them said she had been followed home and a man attempted to enter her home as she was unlocking the door.
Via a review of Ring doorbell and borough camera footage, police identified a suspect. He was seen following the victim on foot wearing dark clothing, a short-sleeved shirt, dark colored gloves, a baseball hat and a watch.
On Monday, officers conducted a photo lineup with the victim that resulted in a positive identification of Anthony Bartos, 26.
Bartos has been charged with stalking, (possessing) instruments of crime, loitering and prowling at night, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Bartos was denied bail and taken to the Allegheny County Jail. He faces a preliminary hearing on Aug. 27.
