For those unfamiliar with Pete, also known as Peg Leg Pete, Disney says he is a villainous anthropomorphic cat who is the arch-nemesis of Mickey Mouse. He normally characterized as a cigar-smoking thug with a ruthless and tyrannical personality.

Pete's most frequent scheme involves kidnapping Minnie Mouse for lecherous purposes, but his crimes and victims have varied over the years.

In modern media, Disney says Pete remains one of its most active characters and "the quintessential antagonist to Mickey Mouse and his friends."

Of all of the myriad of characters to choose from, why was Pete paired with the Steelers? This explanation was offered on the Disney Parks Blog: "Blue-collar, tough, and unapologetically physical. Pete embodies the smash-mouth mentality Steelers fans embrace."

On the Steelers shirt, which can be seen here, Pete is standing on a steel beam. The shirt also displays the Steelers' logo, the year 1933 - that's when the team was founded - and the phrase "Steel City Football."

On the Disney site, the shirt sells for $39.99
