PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Hunan Bar/Chuan Xiang Hui, on Atwood Street in Oakland, for multiple high risk food code violations.
During an Aug. 21 inspection, the following was found:
Additionally, six cans of bamboo shoots and one can of baby corn with dents in the seams that had to be discarded.
The bar and kitchen both lack dedicated handwashing sinks.
An employee was seen preparing raw pork with only one gloved hand.
A staff member was observed coughing multiple times while cooking and stepping away to spit phlegm.
The deli slicer blade and backsplash guard, potato punch, can opener blade and two knives were soiled with old food debris and residue.
The internal wall of the ice machine was soiled with grey/pink residue.
Plastic T-shirt style to go bags were being used to store raw meats in the freezers.
