Pittsburgh-Area Man Kidnaps, Beats 2 Women: Authorities

Two women were kidnapped and terrorized for several days, the Fayette County District Attorney's Office said.

FAYETTE COUNTY, PA — A man has been accused of kidnapping three people, including an infant, and physically assaulting the two adult victims over several days.

According to the Fayette County District Attorney's office Tylar Greenough, 30, allegedly entered the victim's home on Lincoln Street in Uniontown by climbing through a second-floor window. He is accused of holding the victim, her child and her mother against their will for several days in the home and at a hotel.

During that time, her threatened the victims with a firearm and caused significant bruising and injuries to them in the physical assaults, the district attorney's office said.

WTAE-TV reported that Greenough allegedly put one of the women in the trunk of a vehicle, forced one of the women to set up a meeting with a new romantic partner and then tried to run over the man when he arrived to meet her.

The women and infant were able to escape when Greenough left for work on Monday. Police apprehended him later that day after he re-entered the victim's home.

According to court documents, Greenough faces charges that include kidnapping, unlawful restraint, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, burglary, illegal possession of a firearm and violating a protection from abuse order.

Greenough is being held without bond in the Fayette County Jail. He faces a Sept. 10 preliminary hearing.
