PITTSBURGH, PA —Federal, state and city offices will be closed for Labor Day on Sept. 7 and refuse collection in most communities will be delayed by one day through next week.
Also closed are city senior centers, recreation centers and the Mellon Park Tennis Center.
Post offices will be closed and there will be no regular mail delivery.
Many Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores will be open beginning at their normal Monday opening hours through 5 p.m.
All Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh locations will be closed.
Pittsburgh Rapid Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.
The following city pools be open for their final day of operation this summer:
County at Boyce, North, and Settlers Cabin will close at 2 p.m. for the annual Pooches in the Pool event. South Park wave pool will operate with normal business hours. Pooches in the Pool is sold out.
The Deer Lakes and Round Hill Spray Parks will operate as normal on Labor Day. It's is the last operational day at county pools and spray parks for the summer.
There will be no East End Farmers Market on the holiday.
