Health Department Orders Closure Of Pittsburgh Market

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of Yasmine Market, on Brownsville Road in Carrick, for numerous food code violations.

A Sept. 17 inspection revealed the market was opening and operating without a valid permit. Additionally:

The health department posts a red "closed" placard at a food facility when an imminent health hazard is identified, a facility operates without a valid permit or a yellow consumer alert goes uncorrected for 10 days.
