A year ago, the average price per gallon of regular gas was $3.26. That means regular gas prices for Pennsylvania motorists have risen about 37 percent since last year.

Diesel fuel has experienced an even higher increase from last year. The average price in Pennsylvania is $6.55 per gallon; the price last year was just $3.98 per gallon.

That's an increase of about 64 percent since October 2025, and it is higher than the current national average of $6.32 per gallon.

The highest regular gas prices currently can be found in the northwestern and southwestern sections of Pennsylvania. Crawford County has the highest average at $4.74 per gallon, followed by Warren and Greene counties at $4.71. Allegheny County, which includes Pittsburgh is at $4.70.

The lowest regular gas prices are in central Pennsylvania, with Franklin having the lowest average at $4.20. Fulton, Cumberland and Mifflin counties all average $4.29.

In southeastern Pennsylvania, the highest prices are in Philadelphia, which averages $4.49 per gallon, followed by Berks County at $4.43; Delaware County at $4.42; and Montgomery and Bucks counties at $4.41.
