PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are searching for a 15-year-old who is facing charges following a triple shooting outside of Cupples Stadium on Pittsburgh's South Side on Oct. 1.
According to authorities, Charles Lawshe has been charged with three counts of attempted homicide, three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a minor and carrying a firearm without a license.
As of Tuesday morning, he was not in custody.
Three teenagers were wounded in the shooting, which occurred after a Pittsburgh Public Schools high school football game between Westinghouse and University Prep.
The shots were fired as police already were on the scene attempting to break up several fights that broke out, but the suspect was able to elude authorities.
Detectives obtained surveillance video from about 20 minutes before the shooting that showed Lawshe in the area with three other people. After the shooting, the video showed him fleeing the scene.
The victims told police they did not know who the three other people were, but said they knew Lawshe through their jobs.
In the wake of the shooting, the school district implemented more stringent safety measures at Cupples Stadium. They include expanded adult supervision requirements, student identification procedures and the implementation of a clear plastic bag policy.
The safety measures were added to existing security procedures such as metal detectors and PPS School Safety Personnel and Pittsburgh police presences.
