In celebration of the new location, TJ Maxx is donating $10,000 to North Hills Food Bank. The new store will also join all other stores nationwide in sponsoring Save the Children's U.S. Programs through TJ Maxx's annual in-store fundraising campaign.

Sierra, formerly known as Sierra Trading Post, opened its first Pittsburgh store at the Great Southern Shopping Center in Bridgeville on Oct. 17.

Both TJ Maxx and Sierra are under the corporate umbrella of TJX Companies, which also operates Marshalls, HomeGoods, Winners and Homesense stores.
