Blizzard Possible In Pittsburgh This Winter?
The Farmers' Almanac predicts the possibility of a massive snowstorm in Pittsburgh this winter.
PITTSBURGH, PA —After a virtually snow-free winter in southwestern Pennsylvania last year, the Farmers' Almanac is predicting the possibility of a blizzard this coming winter.
As much as one to two feet of snow could fall in the northeast and Mid-Atlantic states during the second week of February, according to the publication.
Those living in the eastern half of the country also could get clobbered during the final week of March, but what falls from the sky will depend on where you live. The predicted storm will track from the nation’s midsection to central New England and bring a significant late-season
snowfall to the north of its track, and showers and thunderstorms to the south.

Also, those who should expect above-normal snowfall this winter are residents of the western Dakotas, northern portions of Colorado and Utah, as well as Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and central and eastern sections of Washington and Oregon.
The Farmers' Almanac forecast differs dramatically from the recently released predication from the Old Farmer's Almanac. The rival publication predicts a warmer than usual winter for most of the country.
