ESPN Analyst In The Mix For Steelers GM Position: Report
An ESPN commentator potentially could be the Steelers next general manager, according to a report.
PITTSBURGH, PA — ESPN commentator Louis Riddick will interview for the Steelers' soon-to-be-vacant general manager position, according to the NFL Network and NFL.com's Ian Rappaport.
Riddick was an NFL safety from 1981 through 1988. He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh.
Riddick, 52, last worked in the NFL as director of pro personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. Published reports in 2020 linked him to the general manager vacancies for the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions.

He currently is an announcer for ESPN's Monday Night Football coverage.
The Steelers are interviewing candidates to replace current general manager Kevin Colbert, who is retiring after the NFL draft in April but will still work for the team in a reduced capacity.

Rappaport did not indicate when Steelers owner Art Rooney II will speak with Riddick.
