PITTSBURGH, PA - Looking for a job in a growing field with high-income potential? You might want to consider a human resources position.

Demand for human resources professionals is higher than the national job growth average for all other professions on average, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Human resources managers should grow by 9 percent, slightly faster than average; human resources specialists should grow by 7 percent, about average and training and development managers should grow by 10 percent, faster than average.

While salaries in the field can vary considerably, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the top 10 percent of human resources management professional searned $193,550. Human resources specialists and recruiters earned a median salary of $59,180, and compensation and benefits managers earned a median salary of $116,240.
