Kelly Frey Addresses Her Departure From WTAE
The longtime morning news anchor left WTAE this week after more than two decades at the station.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Former WTAE-TV anchor Kelly Frey publicly addressed her unexpected departure for the first time on Friday, two days after the station announced she was leaving following discussions over a new contract.
Frey, who spent more than two decades at WTAE and was co-anchor of the morning newscast, said that WTAE's statement was accurate "and reflects the simple truth that we could not agree to terms."
In a Facebook post she stated she was writing as tears welled in her eyes, Frey said that her immediate plans are to "take my dogs for more long walks, focus on my family, my faith and catch up on 21 years of lost sleep."
