Kennywood, Sandcastle Extend Season Passes Through 2021

The amusement park and its affiliated water park are extending season passes through next year.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Amid the uncertainty of when they will be able to open this year, Kennywood and Sandcastle are extending 2020 season passes through 2021. The amusement park and water park, which have the same owner, made the announcement on their respective Facebook pages.

"Dining passes and other perks will also be extended," the Kennywood announcement stated."If your pass included our 2020 holiday events, you'll also get those in 2021. It's the right thing to do in appreciation of your patience and support."

Non-season passholders can now purchase 2020 season passes that include the 2021 Season for a limited time.

Both parks stated they are uncertain when they will be able to open. Sandcastle also announced that the coronavirus outbreak has forced the delay of its new six-story water slide, Bombs Away, until next year.

"This exciting new addition to Sandcastle deserves a full season in the spotlight, and we
know that won't be possible this year," the Sandcastle post stated. "Postponing this project also
allows us to focus more fully on the measures we are taking to make our park as safe and welcoming as possible."
