Man Set Fire That Killed 92-Year-Old Father: Police
The deadly fire occurred Thursday evening.

A Westmoreland County man has been charged with setting a fire in his family home in Hempfield that killed his 92-year-old father.
Douglas Novak, 40, was being arraigned Friday on arson and other charges related to the blaze in which Frank Novak died. The elder Novak was found in his bedroom.
Police said they responded to the house fire just after 9 p.m. Thursday and heard from a neighbor that an unknown male was observed standing inside the home while the home was on fire.#NEW: A state trooper is standing guard in front of this home on Courtview Drive in #HempfieldTownship.
