PA Gambling Revenue Set Record High In 2022
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said wagerers in the state spent an all-time high last year.
PENNSYLVANIA — The state recorded another record year for legalized gambling in 2022, with revenues topping $5.2 billion compared to $4.7 billion in 2021.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said the money was generated via slot machines, table games, sports wagering, iGaming, video gaming terminals and fantasy contests.

- Revenue from casino slot machines was $2.3 billion, a 4.5 percent increase over the $2.2 billion in 2021.
- iGaming generated $1.3 billion, up from $1.1 billion.
- Casino table games generated $990 million, a 7.1 percent increase over the $924 million last year.
- Sports wagering money rose 17.9 percent, from $340 million to $401 million.
- Fantasy contest revenue declined 23.9 percent, from $29.2 million to $22.2 million.
- Video game terminals at truck stops increased 5.5 percent, from $39.8 million to $42 million. At the end of the year there were 66 game terminal facilities in Pennsylvania.
The overall revenue marked a significant increase of the $2.6 billion generated in 2020, the $3.4 billion in 2019 and the $3.2 billion in 2018.
Pennsylvania has 16 casinos.
