Penn State Fans Soon Can Buy Beer At Beaver Stadium

Penn State trustees have approved a measure that will permit beer sales at Beaver Stadium.

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA — Penn State's board of trustees has approved the sale of beer at Beaver Stadium beginning later this season. Sales will be throughout the stadium except near student section areas.

Penn State has has made alcohol purchases available at Beaver Stadium clubs and suites and the Pegula Ice Arena since 2016, while the Bryce Jordan Center has been selling alcohol at select
external events since 2015.

All patrons 21 and older who purchase alcohol will be required to show proper identification to obtain a wristband. All identifications will be scanned to confirm they are legitimate.

Every alcohol purchase will be limited to two 16-ounce cans at at a time.

Alcohol sales will conclude at the end of the third quarter of all football games.

Beaver Stadium has an official seating capacity of 106,572, which is the second largest in the United States behind Michigan Stadium, and the world's fourth-largest.
