Pirates World Series Hero Bill Mazeroski's Home Being Auctioned

Maz has decided to auction off his home in Hempfield, Westmoreland County.

HEMPFIELD, PA - Pirates legend Bill Mazeroski, who won the 1960 World Series with a walk-off home run, will auction off his home on Walton Tea Room Road and also sell nearly 20 acres of land. The auction will occur March 22 after open houses on March 8 and March 17.

According to the auctioneer's website,the custom built 1,700-square foot home consists of three bedrooms, a formal room, kitchen, dining room, sun room and a finished basement. The house will be sold as is.

Mazeroski, 83, played for the Pirates from 1956 through 1972. He was elected to the Major League Hall of Fame in 2001.
