Pittsburgh Area Likely To Feel Hurricane Laura Impact

PITTSBURGH, PA —Hurricane Laura likely will bring dangerous storm surges, winds and rainfall to portion of Texas and Louisiana. The storm's remnants likely will impact Pittsburgh over the weekend, bringing needed relief from drought conditions.

How much rain the area gets over the weekend depends on the exact tract and speed over the next few days. Currently, the National Weather Service projects one to two inches of rain for southwestern Pennsylvania.
