Pittsburgh-Themed Monopoly Game Coming; You Can Pick Square Names
Pittsburgh residents can offer familiar locations to be used as board squares in the new Monopoly game.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Who needs Monopoly's Park Place and Boardwalk when you can purchase the Duquesne Incline or Primanti Bros.? That question is about to be answered, as Pittsburgh is about to get its own Monopoly game - and you could have a say as to which local landmarks are on the board.
The official Monopoly Pittsburgh edition will substitute area locations for the traditional Atlantic City squares, with representations of cultural sites, historic landmarks, and time-honored businesses, alongside Pittsburgh-themed Community Chest and Chance playing cards to ensure each detail of the game pays homage to life in the Steel City.
“From the Steel Tower to the Sister Bridges, to the Carnegie Museums and the August Wilson Center, Pittsburgh isn’t short on iconic locations to visit and enjoy,” Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey said at a news conference on a Mt. Washington overlook to announce the move. "Pittsburgh is proud to be able to celebrate our rich culture and history with this new edition of Monopoly.”
