Pittsburgh Weather: Accumulating Snow, Ice On The Way
Find out here when the worst of the winter weather will arrive.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Tuesday afternoon’s rush hour should be fine, but your Wednesday morning commute could be rough. Treacherous weather conditions are on the way for the Pittsburgh metro area and all of southwestern Pennsylvania.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. with 3 to 5 inches of snow expected and as much as a tenth of an inch of ice accumulating. The ice is expected to make for difficult driving conditions on Wednesday morning, while the snow could reduce visibility at times.
The weather service currently projects that all of Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties, as well as portions of Butler and Beaver counties, will experience a mix of sleet and freezing rain between 7 and 9 a.m. Wednesday. The precipitation should be all snow by the afternoon, but driving conditions still could be tricky.
