Pittsburgh's Manor Theater Rated Pennsylvania's Coolest Cinema

Cosmopolitan says the Manor is the place Pennsylvania moviegoers want to be.

PITTSBURGH, PA - It’s quite a distinction for the Manor. The four-screen cinema in Squirrel Hill has been rated Pennsylvania’s coolest movie theater by Cosmopolitan. Unsurprisingly, the reaction on the theater’s Facebook page was that the development was "pretty cool."

Cosmopolitan wrote in its Manor review: “It’s not much cheaper than a multiplex theater, but there’s a student discount and ticket special on Wednesday. There’s also a high-end concession stand that sells beer, wine and signature cocktails that can be brought into the theater.”

Those signature cocktails contribute to the theater’s coolness. The original mixtures have names that recall classic movies: “The Godfather,” “Woody Allen’s Manhattan,” “Some Like It Hot,” and “The Grapes of Rye.”

Once a single theater, the Manor was renovated several years ago into its current four-screen configuration and remains one of the only surviving neighborhood cinemas in southwestern Pennsylvania.
