PITTSBURGH, PA — Steelers starting safety Minkah Fitzpatrick has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a tweet Monday from ESPN's Kimberly Martin. He will join quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on the Reserve-COVID list.

Fitzpatrick played in Sunday's Steelers game, a disappointing 16-16 tie with the Detroit Lions that Roethlisberger missed after testing positive. It's unclear if either will be available Sunday night when the Steelers play the Los Angeles Chargers in California.

The NFL's COVID-19 policy stipulates that a vaccinated player with a positive test can return if he has two negative tests taken at least 24 hours apart and is asymptomatic for 48 hours.
