Steelers' Anthony Chickillo Has Criminal Charges Dropped

The reserve linebacker and his girlfriend both were criminally charged after recently getting into an argument.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Criminal charges against Steelers linebacker Anthony Chickillo and his girlfriend have been dropped.

Chickillo, 26, and Alysha Newman, 25, were charged after getting into an argument Oct. 20 at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort casino in Fayette County. The dispute continued in their hotel room and allegedly became physical.

Chickillo was charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief and released on
$10,000 bond. Newman was charged with harassment.

Chickillo has been on the NFL restricted list and hasn't played since the charges were filed. It's unclear whether he will be eligible to play Sunday when the Steelers take on the Indianapolis Colts.
